Actinonin is a bioactive peptide and an antibiotic agent. It is a potent inhibitor of leucine aminopeptidase, CD13, PDF (Peptide deformylase), meprin A ,thermolysin, and matrix metalloproteinases.
The antitumor and antibacterial properties of actinonin is demonstrated in vitro.
